?I am not going to apologize to Monday Okpobolo,I posted his WAEC results for the people of Edo state to see who is governing them. I feel so bad for his kids- singer, Davido

Davido says he will not be apologising to Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, who he recently had a spat on social media.

Singer, Davido has declared he will not apologise to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo after their recent social media clash.

The feud began during election campaigns when Okpebholo mocked Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke—Davido’s uncle—claiming he dances too much to govern effectively. In retaliation, Davido posted an alleged copy of Okpebholo’s WASSCE results showing multiple ‘D7’ grades and questioned the governor’s capacity to write his own social media statements.

Despite facing backlash from critics who felt he disrespected an elder and public official, Davido doubled down during a recent interview, firmly refusing to issue an apology.

In his words

‘’’I am not going to apologise. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was only letting the people of the state know the kind of results their governor has.

You left your state, came to another state to rig and then you start talking that my Uncle is a dancer, he is not a serious….the road to your government house is not done…

First of all, you were not even elected, you were selected…you didn’t win those votes. You do not know what it is to win an election…I feel so bad for his kids because they will be like ‘see what my daddy is doing’

You are abusing a sitting governor in his own state….”
